Hillary Clinton's plan for our Economy
Hilary Clinton plans to make the wealthy and big corporations to pay more of their fair share and keeping business in America by:
- Increase taxes of high-income households and narrow incentives for businesses that share profits with their workers or hive apprenticeship programs
- Create a tax break for caregivers and out-of-picket healthcare costs
- Increase capital gains rate on assets held between one and six years to encourage longer-term investing
- Impose tougher restrictions on companies seeking to move their business out of country and cut their tax bills
- Impose a 30% minimum effective tax rate on households making at least $2 million a year and a 4% surtax on income of over $5 million.
- Drop tuition at public schools for students in families earning $85,000 a year of less; the threshold would will increase to $125,000 by 2021
- Students above the threshold would be required to cover some costs out of pocket, but prices would be set low enough that they wouldn’t have to borrow student loans
- Borrowers with older loans will refinance to current interest rates, and forgiving some student debt for young entrepreneurs
